Testing / placeholder site
I build church websites on ChurchKit, the open-source platform I created and run in production for my own church. A website is the core product, complete on its own — Planning Center sync, YouTube sermons, and a mobile app are optional add-ons, only if you want them. I also do practical, hands-on consulting for Sunday morning AV: sound, cameras, switchers, and livestream setups a volunteer can actually run.
Get in touchThis isn't Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress with a church theme on top. Those are general-purpose builders, and it shows: plugin bloat, slow pages, and a drag-and-drop editor one volunteer click away from breaking the layout. ChurchKit is built around what a church actually has — staff, ministries, events, sermons, service times — with editing simple enough for church staff and volunteers, and hard to accidentally wreck.
| Wix / Squarespace / WordPress | ChurchKit | |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Blogs and small businesses | How churches actually operate |
| Editing | Drag-and-drop, easy to break the layout | Structured fields, hard to break |
| Performance | Plugins pile up, pages get slower | Lean by design, stays fast |
| Ownership | Your content, their platform | Your church owns the code, account, and data |
A branded website with pages, staff, ministries, and events, built on ChurchKit — the platform I personally wrote and maintain, not a third-party template. This alone is a complete, working site. Provisioning, Cloudflare deployment, and domain setup are included, so your church doesn't need an in-house developer to get it live.
Practical help with the Sunday morning setup: audio gain staging and routing, switcher workflows, camera placement, and a booth layout a rotating volunteer crew can actually run — without buying gear your church doesn't need. On-site visits for churches in the Leeds/Birmingham, AL area; remote consulting over video call for everyone else.
A quick gut check before you reach out.
None of these are required for a working site. Each is a switch you can turn on later, only if your church wants it — and since I built ChurchKit myself, nothing is locked down. Whether you don't use Planning Center, rely on a different ChMS, or prefer another video host, everything can be customized to fit what your church actually uses.
Connect the site to the Planning Center data your staff already keeps current — services, groups, and giving — instead of a second system to maintain by hand. Don't use Planning Center, or use something else entirely? I can build a custom integration for whatever system your church actually runs on.
Pull sermon video straight from your church's YouTube channel onto the site automatically, with no manual uploading or re-hosting.
An iOS/Android app for your church — sermons, Bible, check-in, giving, and push notifications — built from the same ChurchKit platform as the website.
The code, the Cloudflare account, the domain, and the data all belong to your church outright, not me. No vendor lock-in, no hostage domains, and no mandatory monthly retainer.
I can build the site, hand over full ownership, and step away — that's a complete engagement on its own. If you'd rather not handle updates and hosting yourselves, I also offer ongoing maintenance. Either way works; it's entirely your call.
Owning it outright means a few small bills come directly to you, not through me:
You won't be handed a pile of logins and left to figure it out. I set up each account with you — Cloudflare, your domain registrar, anything else — and explain exactly what you're paying for and why, before you pay it.
I'm Blake Nolen, a software developer by trade. Faithful Path Consulting is a sole proprietorship offering church websites and Sunday morning AV/livestream consulting, with sites built on ChurchKit, an open-source church website platform I wrote and maintain.
I'm the volunteer technology leader at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Leeds, AL, where I built ChurchKit to be the backbone of our own online presence — website, admin panel, and mobile app all running on it in production, not just a demo. The AV consulting comes from the same place: running our own booth on real Sunday mornings.
My wife Erica works alongside me on look, feel, and design, so sites come out well-built and well-designed, not just functional.
